The 75nS is for non-cumlative bit distortion of the data. Alowing a shortning of 75ns for each inline device could result in a total 300nS shortning. That's a 7.5% error in bit timing....

Scott, I don't see ther new PID as an issue. It's a fixed response, like E120_SUPPORTED_PARAMETERS PID and implemented instead of a "get count" PID. Its just that "get count" feels like wallpapering...

Is it advisable for a responder to time out IDENTIFY_DEVICE?
It seems a good idea to me, as it prevents the situation where a lamp could appear to be stuck on if the controller failed to clear it...
