Default ASN.1 description of RDM

Has anyone written an ASN.1 (Abstract Syntax Notation One) of RDM? If not, I might write one as part of writing a Wireshark (previously known as Ethereal) protocol analyzer plugin and post the results.

Cheers,

Shaun,

I'm not familiar with anyone writing that. I know at one point several years ago someone was working on an Artnet plugin for Ethereal that would cover RDM over Artnet traffic.

Since Ethereal is based on Ethernet packets and traffic, how would it work with RDM?

Scott,

From the Wireshark source code I see that the Art-Net dissector does call the RDM dissector for RDM over Art-Net packets, although I haven't used it myself.

I'm dissecting RDM packets being transmitted (tunnelled?) through a TCP connection by Pathport nodes.

Cheers,
