Hello all,
the pdl for this is mentioned as either 2 or 8 but in the text (10.11.8) it mentiones that unused timing fields shall be set to 0. Does this imply that the pdl is always 8? Kidn regards Bernt |

No, both PDL's are valid.
You might use 0x0000 in one of the timing fields if you have fade times, but no wait time. |

Hello,
How does a controller figure out how mane scenes are available in a device? This question also applies to some other commands - I suppose. Kind regards Bernt |

Unfortunately there's no standard way to determine the number of scenes a responder supports, other than getting a NACK when you try and use a scene that the responder doesn't support.

Eric is correct. I believe we have some new messages that extend this in the Dimmer PID's document we're currently working on that extend the capabilities of Presets.
