Default new PID suggestion: pan/tilt lock

A new PID which might be useful would be one which could lock/unlock pan/tilt in an automated light. It could have a GET function also which would return whether the mechanism is currently locked. This is particularly helpful as a remote command because the light can be positioned while in the truss and then locked without having to climb back up to the fixture.

Which fixtures do you know of that have an electrically activated rather than purely mechanical lock ?

Are there any that you know of that already have some form of sensing on a mechanical lock ?

I can't remember off hand which ones but there are some fixtures out there that do have electrically activated locks.

If we did a PID like this, how would we structure it?

A: Dedicated PIDs for PAN_LOCK and TILT_LOCK?

B: Generic AXIS_LOCK PID where there can be up to 255 named axes, each of which can be locked and unlocked individually?

We already have dedicated PIDs for Pan and Tilt invert, so I think option A is consistent with what we've already done. Does anyone know of fixtures that need the ability to lock FX Wheels or anything else?

I would just go with A. More consistent with existing PIDs.

I've included PAN_LOCK and TILT_LOCK in the E1.37-5 draft.
