How to obtain Manufacturer's ID - E1.20 RDM (Remote Device Management) Protocol Forums

We are working on some high-intensity LED fixtures and would like to implement the bidirectional DMX/RDM protocol. How do we obtain a Manufacturer's ID to use for the UID? I realize that for prototyping we can probably assign an arbitrary value, which can easily be changed when necessary, but I'm just curious as to how the assignment process works.

This link gives you the current Manufacturers IDs and the email address for Karl Ruling that you should use.
