Permitting a cardinal index may be put in the same context as for personalities. For consistency, I would suggest that indexes be ordinal from 1.
In the case that an responder does not utilise a self test and chooses to maintain a standard cardinality, could this be handled by the SELFTEST_DESCRIPTION either returning PDL = 0 or NACK NOT SUPPORTED? It could be recommended that the index be contigouse. |
