RDM 1.37-5 JSON Schema PD Envelope Type

Hi, while implementing RDM 1.37-5 JSON Schema i get stuck at PD Envelope Type, what is this Parameter exact for, because in all standart-Parameter dont use it. only the Parameters which are not part of the standart uses the Type.

Maybe someone can make a example

See the PACKED_PID_SUB and PACKED_PID_INDEX E1.20 examples at https://github.com/ssilverman/rdm-schema.

They’re also here: https://gitlab.com/esta-cpwg/e137-5

I know thees Parameters uses the type pdEnvelop, but I don't think the explanation is sufficient, I don't understand it.

And its not helpful tu reference to an yet not published Parameter

Fair points. That type is for when a message can contain other parts, but as a “block” or “envelope” containing other things. Those PIDs needing it might still be in the upcoming latest E1.20 spec.
