Reset sensor data of all sensors

A SET_COMMAND SENSOR_VALUE packet is used to reset or clear a given sensor. The SET_COMMAND_RESPONSE SENSOR_VALUE packet also returns normal sensor data as if it were a GET_COMMAND packet. A SET_COMMAND SENSOR_VALUE packet can also be used with a sensor number of 0xff to clear all sensors. What data should be included in the SET_COMMAND_RESPONSE SENSOR_VALUE packet in that case?

The SET_COMMAND_RESPONSE RECORD_SENSORS packet, which can also be used with a sensor number of 0xff, contains no data at all. Since the two packets perform very similar functions, it seems to me that either neither packet should return data, or both packets should return data. My inclination is to return no data, as with most SET_COMMAND_RESPONSE packets.

Cheers,
Shaun

Shaun,

Good question. This is one that we will need to discuss at the next meeting. I can see several options here as you suggest. None really seem better than the others. The important thing is that people implement it consistently.
