Page 36 of spec seems to say there are response packets for both of those.

It says that it must Set or Clear the Mute flag when it receives a Mute or Un-Mute message on a Broadcast address or it's own address.

That does not mean that it responds on the link though when receiving a Broadcast message. You can also send a Broadcast message for everyone to set their DMX Address to 1. All the devices do that action, but since it was a Broadcast message, they know not to respond.

The only message that should get a response when sent to a Broadcast address is the DISC_UNIQ_BRANCH message.
