Additional Message Sets for RDM (BSR E1.37-2), IPv4 & DNS Configuration Messages
E1.37-2 defines additional PIDs for configuring IPv4 and basic DNS functionality for a device. As more products start to include IPv4/Ethernet interfaces, it makes sense to have a single set of PIDs to configure settings such as the IPv4 Address, Subnet mask etc., rather than relying on manufacturer PIDs.
This draft standard is in the initial stages of going out for a First Public Review cycle to provide an opportunity for public input on the draft standard. This public review cycle is anticipated to begin by early Summer 2012.
