Default What is the genral opinion about using ACK_TIMER for...

Hi

We have a new device application which does not use a real time OS.
Our software guru has told me that he want to use the ACK_TIMER reply to every single rdm command (not discovery).
Once the command has then travelled through the OS and a reply is available, the reply will become a QUED_MESSAGE

The spec does not forbid this but what is the general opinon on this?

Regards
Bernt
