Time precision for *_HOURS

If the variable LAMP_HOURS = 1, is it equal to 1 hour or the number must be multiplied by a factor equal to the ratio of what? In other words, how much precision for the time LAMP_HOURS, DEVICE_HOURS?

It's equal to 1 hour.

The unit for LAMP HOURS and DEVICE hours is, as Scott has indicated, in hours. On our products we actually keep track of such timings in increments of 10minutes, so that if the product is on for two 50 minute sessions, followed by a further 20 minutes, it will eventually show as having been on for 2 hours and not 0 hours.

Clearly such behaviour is dependent on a number of other factors, such as the provision of non-volatile storage and the number of times you can legally write to it over an extended period of time.
