SLOT_INFO
A couple of inconsistent usage of terms in E1.20 that it would be good to clear up in the next errata...
- "Slot Label ID" and "Slot ID/Offset" are used interchangeably (SLOT_INFO). - "Slot Label Code" and "Slot ID" are used interchangeably (Tables B-1 and B-2). It might also be useful to expand the example given for Secondary slots in SLOT_INFO (see "For example, a 16-bit pan function..."), as I've seen a number of responder implementations which made the same mistake with Secondary slots of reporting the Slot ID, rather than the Slot Offset of the Primary slot. An expanded example might be along the lines of... 00 00 00 00 01 // Dimmer 00 01 00 01 01 // Pan 00 02 00 01 02 // Tilt 00 03 00 02 01 // Color 00 04 00 03 02 // Gobo<> 00 05 05 00 04 // Slot Type ‘Index’ for Slot 0x0004 (Gobo<>) 00 06 00 04 02 // Focus 00 07 01 00 01 // Slot Type ‘Fine’ for Slot 0x0001 (Pan) 00 08 01 00 02 // Slot Type ‘Fine’ for Slot 0x0002 (Tilt) |
